Amanda & RJ - Engagement

Posted on March 30, 2009

I recently had the pleasure of shooting an engagement for my old friend RJ and his bride-to-be, Amanda. Here are a few shots from their engagement shoot.

I simply can’t get enough of this location. OSU has bought it and is planning on turning it into student housing at some point so expect to see more work from here soon. I have to take advantage of it while it’s still standing!!

Günaydın!!

Posted on December 31, 2008

A few quick shots for you guys to start off your day. It’s almost six here and we are getting ready to go to dinner to celebrate the New Year. Enjoy! And yes, it is STILL raining and or snowing constantly! Hopefully I will get at least a couple days of sun or at least dryness!

My favorite stop of the day, Basilica Cistern

A reused Medusa head as the support for one of the Cistern columns.

Istanbul

Posted on December 29, 2008

So, I know everyone is wondering why I haven’t been blogging like I said I would… Well, I have to blame it on the weather! It has been less than suitable for photo outings since I have arrived. I have had random opportunities to shoot and here is what I have gathered so far.

Here is a shot I grabbed with my point & shoot on the first night (it’s a cheap Canon A710 IS if you are wondering, nothing special).

Got to take my real camera and go trek through the bazaar…

My friend, Fatih, and I went down to Taksim for a jaunt and got snowed/rained on all day… ugh. Shot this in the famous street cars that run up and down the area all day.

In the parking garage… They are selling roasted chestnuts everywhere you look.

The (very wet) view from Galata Tower

Stay tuned! I will get up some fresh shots as soon as it dries up. I am sitting here watching it snow profusely as I am blogging. It’s supposed to look better towards the end of the week.

Trashing That Dress

Posted on July 28, 2008

So everyone keeps asking about “Trash the Dress” sessions. Well, I decided to put a shoot together with my own dress and a model and give you kids a look at my spin on how to trash the dress. Yes, we went for something a bit more edgy on this particular shoot. I would really like to hear everyones feedback on this post so please feel free to comment.

We hadn’t planned on using the motorcycle but someone showed up to watch us work, so we took it from him and incorporated it. I think it worked quite well!

Posted on June 24, 2008

I helped out my good friend of mine, Zane, with this wedding on the 14th of this month. Had a wonderful time with all of my friends from Apertures Photo, my fave photography shop here in T-Town. Hope you all enjoy them.

A shot from the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. Just caught my eye and had to post it up.
