Bay Area Super Prestige Series - Race 1
Posted on October 24, 2011
For those who haven’t been following my usual social networking outlets, Facebook, Twitter or flickr, I’ve done packed up and moved to San Francisco! Follow me at any one of those links to keep tabs on what’s happening and where I am working. True to form, one of the first things I got to shoot after arriving was a cycling race. The first Bay Area Super Prestige Series race of the season at Candlestick Park! I thought they built the whole stadium for cycling races but apparently they play some other sport there, too. It was quite hot for the area but still a great day of racing. Here’s a slideshow of images from a couple of the races.

Macy & John
Posted on January 7, 2011
I was privileged to team up with Nathan Harmon to shoot the wedding of this amazing Tulsa couple, John Amatucci and Macy Snyder. John is a very accomplished commercial photographer based out of Tulsa and Macy does more than I can imagine at Brick Hugger. Her family company is responsible for the rebirth of the historical Mayo Hotel in downtown. After the wedding on the brand new OneOk field, we shuttled over to the amazing Crystal Ballroom on the 16th floor of the Mayo Hotel. Here are your images… Enjoy!

The Great American Road Trip of 2010
Posted on January 7, 2011
Thanksgiving allowed me a bit of personal time. Never being one to sit around and enjoy doing nothing, I loaded up the car and one of my best friends and colleagues and hit the road. We drove a total of 4700 miles from Tulsa to San Francisco and back. Here are a few of the images from the journey. Enjoy!

Keeping the setup from Tulsa Tough, we decided to go out to one of the larger Cyclocross races in the area and shoot some more post-race portraits. Enjoy!

Gateway Cup - St. Louis
Posted on September 14, 2010
Cycling is a passion of mine and recently I have been making it a point to generate more imagery related to things I enjoy so a couple weeks ago my friends and I decided to pack up and go to St. Louis for their big criterium race, the Gateway Cup. St. Louis was a wonderful backdrop to the four day spectacle and drew in quite a few friends and teams we got to shoot at Tulsa Tough back in June. Here’s a slideshow of some of my favourite images from the weekend.
Special thanks to all the racers, especially Team Vanderkitten, my right-hand man, Jake and to his uncle for being such a fantastic host to us and our racing friends.

Heather @ Studio One
Posted on May 3, 2010
Had a great time shooting a couple headshots and a portrait for Heather down at Studio One. It was quick and dirty but we got some great images. Man, I love all that natural, soft light. Of course, the great talent doesn’t hurt either…

Uzhgorod
Posted on January 11, 2010
After just getting comfy in Budapest I had decided to go and take a day+ trip to see a friend in Uzhgorod, a small city on the edge of the Carpathian mountians, straddling the Uzh river in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine. As I learned, it’s a culturally rich and historically unique area that, despite it’s size, has a generous amount to offer.

My photo-savvy friend and tour guide, Maryna, in front of the Uzhgorod Castle.

Shot from the old fortress, an all wood church built in 1777. No nails, no glue.

A hall in the palace dedicated to religious ceremonies.

A few more details from walking around the city.

Finally, proof I was there, courtesy of Maryna

I will have some more Budapest shots up soon so be sure to check back!

Happy New Year!
Posted on January 7, 2010
Sorry for the silence while abroad. Technical issues kept me from blogging while I was in Budapest, hopefully you were able to keep up with everything via facebook. Hope everyone had a wonderful New Year celebration and is getting 2010 started on the right foot.
Budapest - What can I say about Budapest? The city itself was amazing. Beautiful, clean, friendly, metropolitan but not so big that it was overbearing. Unfortunately, the weather there was less than conducive to my shooting desires. I got a day or two of good shooting in but the rest of the time it was foggy or there was some sort of precipitation falling.
Here are a few shots from our walk to the Chain Bridge from the Pest side… As you can see, no shortage of fog.

I will post up some more later today or in the morning. Hope this is enough to wet your whistle.

450 Miles - A Western Oklahoma Road Trip
Posted on December 23, 2009
How well do you know your state? Jules, Shelley, Tony and I set out recently on a day long expedition to see some of the more interesting and lesser-known parts of Oklahoma. We took off Westward straight out of Tulsa without much of a schedule other than our first stop, The Great Salt Plains State Park. We then headed towards the Little Sahara state park to see the sand dunes but it seems that my Subaru is not the proper type of vehicle for getting into the park, oh well, maybe next year. We then traveled South seeking the Gloss Mountains (or Glass depending on who you ask) as our final destination before heading back home. I made a slideshow for this voyage since there a few too many images. Hope you like them!
